Sylvia Ji's Untitled was on view at White Walls Gallery in 2006, as part of her first solo show.
Measuring 24" by 24", waiting features acrylic and mixed media on a wood panel and was professionally framed by White Walls.
Untitled is a study in contrasts, with the woman's face and hand created using vibrant and rich colors, while her hair, flowers and body features a softer, thinner palette. (The thinner colors enable the wood grains to show through, adding depth to the composition.) Vibrant butterflies circle the woman, whose gaze draws viewers closer, noticing the gold foil, freckles and blush so carefully imagined by Sylvia.
